Adventures in Yonderland

A log of my adventures, both real and imagined.

I have decided

to begin work on my IMP (Individualized Major Program) thesis/paper/idea. For those of you who don’t know, I’m doing something along the lines of this (my rough-draft intro):

“Humans are one of the world’s most beautiful and complex creatures. We have the ability to not only think, consider and reflect, but to reflect on our selves. To know who we are, what is ours and how we ourselves act. These things are often underestimated or unconsidered when thinking about humanity and for this endeavor, these things must never be forgotten. Humans come equipped with an entire system with which to learn about, understand and conceptualize the world they live in and, consequently, develop belief systems and assumptions about how the world works, how the world should work and what is “good.” There is no way that this work could ever fully comprehend the development of these assumptive systems, but I contend that it is yet important to draw out a scheme of human assumptive learning in order to better understand why we are the way we are, and perhaps understand where our faults of understanding and opinion lie.”
